Congratulations to everyone who participated in yesterday’s Fight Gone Bad Fundraiser for the Prostate Cancer Foundation. We had a great turn out and as a community raised over $4200! We have uploaded pictures of the event to our online gallery here. Feel free to download any pictures you’d like and also upload any that you may have taken personally. Also, we’d like to receive everyone’s final score from the day. If you can’t bring in your original sheet, please post your score to yesterday’s comments or email them to info@crossfitedmonton.ca. Thank you.
For today’s discussion, please post your personal experience of the event and/or how we can make it bigger and better next year.

Hey Chad – I put some photos of the last FGB round in the Randoms album – could you move them over to the FGB? I’m not sure how to do this. Thx!
JEN – Your photos are the GREATEST!
I really enjoyed the event just as was….having everyone there was exciting!
I was really TOO HOT to do my best (but that I know is a me problem)…
Otherwize…keep it close to the same it was a GREAT JOB and a SUPER FUN event!
When we do this next year (and of course we will), it would be nice to take the opportunity for a large group photo. We don’t often have all of us out like that, and we are a good looking bunch.
Also, since we finished so close to noon, I was starving. Perhaps a light refreshment and social time before everyone leaves next year?
The groups were just fantastic. If I work out like that much more, I am sure the intensity would kill me. But what a way to go!
Jen – just went through your photos in the gallery. They are great! I have posted some to my facebook (with credit to the artist, of course). You have a future my friend!
The event went well. Perhaps using the registered list of participants the heats could be scheduled in advance so everyone knows which heat they are in and you guys know how many stations you need. I like the idea of social time afterwards. Perhaps little fun prizes for fun things like “best grimacing face”, “mostly likely to puke” “most motivational counter”ect.
I think with the word of mouth next year will be even bigger, hopefully getting some good media attention. Group fundraising days ie. car washes or something after Sat WODS perhaps.
I posted a video I made for work on the Gallery, unfortunately the audio wasn’t attatched…oops. the original is posted on my facebook page if anyone is interested. Thanks for the photos Jen. you know how to capture pain well on camera
Great pics!!! Awesome event! Makes me hungry for intensity once again!!! Congrats to everyone, you guys make Crossfit even more worthwhile!
GET SOME! GO AGAIN!
Next year I hope to be able to do the wod with my shirt off too. You guys are HOT!
I also plan to break more bars.
I left feeling a sense of accomplishment even though I didn’t do as well as I would have liked I think the spirit is so high – if we could bottle that energy and let more people in on it.
Make changes, don’t make changes either way I guarantee the crowd will get bigger, the music will get louder and the scores will get higher.
I look forward to next year and doing better for myself and watching everyone else do better. I WILL be wearing my shirt though…
Congrats to all those who participated in this event. great collection of photos.
Congrats to everyone for working so hard on Saturday, you guys were amazing. I was sweating just watching you all!
I really enjoyed taking pictures of everyone. The faces of intensity were awesome, you guys really pushed your limits…very inspiring.
Thank you to everyone who participated, organized, attended, and sponsored the event. I had such a great time, even if Elizabeth (or as I like to refer to her Elizawelch) reneged on her 100 burpees (I gotta start paying closer attention to these bets). The energy, effort and comraderie were inspiring and I really enjoyed the experience.
Once we finished and I looked around the room there seemed to be quite a few people with an “Is that it?” look on their face. Therefore, I agree that a post event gathering would be fun and rewarding after such a herculean effort.
I know it may be a lot to ask but it would be pretty cool if monthly or quarterly we could repeat this type of event. It does not always need to be a fundraiser, maybe it is simply part of a recruitment drive (as I am sure we all can agree that workouts are more entertaining / intense with a larger group) or a prelude to a social (think of the money one could save on alcohol after a workout like FGB!).
Anyway, thanks all for a great event!
